Family[]

Arcos Frontera[]

Despite being family, Arcos once hated Lloyd due to his poor attitude and behavior. He was unable to command much authority over his son while growing up and as a result was unable to set him straight. He did not think much of his son and did not believe that he could possibly have positive intentions when beginning the instruction of ondol floors, jumping to the worst possible conclusions and accusing Lloyd of extortion once he saw the money he had received as payment.

Episode 12

Collapsing from exhaustion after defeating the ants

As his father, however, Arcos has always loved Lloyd regardless and often worries for his wellbeing. He assigned Javier as his knight in an attempt to keep him from terrorizing the townsfolk and from ending up lost or dead somewhere while drunk. After hearing of the wild ants found in the Black Coal Mine, he did not hesitate to run to his son's rescue despite still thinking little of his behavior and had to be physically restrained from charging towards the subsequent explosion.

Arcos holds a certain level of guilt for not being able to be a better father to Lloyd and for saddling their family with debt. He is deeply grateful towards his son for allowing them to live comfortably and tearfully apologized for making his life so difficult once their debts were fully paid off. Lloyd, retaining his own sense of guilt from his life as Suho Kim, denied this apology and reassured that the fact he loved his son was more than enough to call him a good father.

He is somewhat aware that his son is no longer the same man as before, as Lloyd has never referred to him as 'father' and has instead consistently used formalities ever since Suho's arrival. These suspicions are not enough for him to abandon his son, however, and he has chosen to push aside the unsettling questions of his true identity so long as he is happy and safe.

Marbella Frontera[]

Similarly to her husband, Marbella has always held a deep sense of love and care for her eldest son while still disapproving of his behavior. She displayed resignation and worry above all else after learning that he destroyed the local pub, pleading that he apologize rather than reprimanding him. Her worry for her son has remained present throughout the entire story. She has consistently voiced opposition towards his reckless, dangerous plans and has not hesitated to run to his side when he is unwell.

While the two do not interact often, Lloyd seems to care for her as well. He was seen weeping over the deaths of her and Arcos during the first Ending Spoiler and happily entrusted her to lead the catering corps during the construction of the Honeypot Apartments.

Julian Frontera[]

In the past, Lloyd was merciless and abusive towards Julian, leading him to develop a deep resentment and fear of his older brother. He was said to have kicked Julian every time he did so much as look at him and often dispensed profanity-laden insults as well. He held no respect for him, thinking of him as nothing but an unintelligent, rowdy drunkard, and struggled to believe that the man he knew could possibly be any different after learning of his achievements in construction and in battle.

His doubt and hatred persisted once Lloyd came to meet him in person at his place of study, not wishing for him to interfere in his life at all and shouting in rage after Lloyd stepped in to protect him from bullies. He could not believe that he could possibly have positive intentions and asked how much of his life he would have to ruin to be satisfied. Lloyd did not attempt to defend himself and went forward to temporarily pull him from the academy and put him to work on the construction of the Mageno River Bridge.

During the construction, Julian was able to witness Lloyd's changes in personality with his own eyes and finally began to believe that he had changed. After the bridge's completion, he met with Lloyd and was able to let go of his hatred to instead respect him as an older brother and the savior of their estate. He promised that, as his little brother, he was more proud of him than anyone else and that he no longer had to force himself to act like a bully. Both cringed away from these sappy words, though did not take them back and the two continue to maintain a more typical brotherly relationship of unspoken care.

Summoned Creatures[]

As a default, all creatures that Lloyd has summoned through the Random Summon Game are automatically entered into a master-servant relationship. After a while of this, Lloyd came to a realization and spoke to Ppodong, Bangul, and Hamang to apologize for neglecting them and to thank them for all of their hard work. They accepted his sincere feelings and now affectionately see him as "part of the gang". He does not appear to hold this relationship with Bibeong or Ggoming, who he met after this revelation.

Ppodong[]

Upon first summoning Ppodong, Lloyd was initially doubtful of his capabilities, though he has since learned to appreciate his skills and is grateful for the work he puts in. He places a great amount of trust in the hamster and usually keeps him by his side, often giving him work, using him as transport, or simply letting him tag along on his shoulder. Ppodong is always happy to be of help, enjoying the work he does and remaining loyal to Lloyd similarly to a pet.

Lloyd is mindful of Ppodong's health and tries to avoid putting him in dangerous situations when possible, such as keeping him away from the Black Coal Mine in case something were to happen in the tight space. Ppodong cares deeply for Lloyd's wellbeing in return, having been seen nagging him to take a break after exhausting himself with experiments and worriedly staying by his side when he is ill.

As Ppodong was the first creature Lloyd ever summoned, he knows him best out of all of the summons and seems to have an understanding of how he thinks. He often accompanies Lloyd in battle and is able to quickly work alongside him in high stress situations. Due to their continued time together, Ppodong seems to have absorbed parts of Lloyd's personality as well, as they were seen deviously grinning at one another after successfully physically threatening Ggoming into complying with work.

Bangul[]

Bangul and lloyd

After digging for black coal

Bangul is the only summoned creature that Lloyd has not been seen acting negatively to in any way. While he did have low expectations when first meeting her, he gave her the benefit of the doubt and did not voice these thoughts to instead see her abilities for himself. He has been consistently kind and thankful of her work, which she is happy to receive and returns with cheerful affection of her own.

Overall, Bangul seems rather happy and compliant with her work. She does not question Lloyd's decisions and does not hesitate to follow his plans, whether it be in construction, battle, or making deals. Like the others, she has been seen worrying for him when he is unwell.

Hamang[]

Hamang is the third creature summoned by Lloyd. while he thought that he won't be of any use but when clearing the water of the farmlands hamang showed what he was capable of. He can absorb waters but the more he absorbs the bigger he become.

Ggoming[]

Ggoming is the 4th creature summoned by Lloyd he is the laziest in the list of his summoned animals.Ggoming was summoned when Lloyd was creating adding mesh farmlands. He used to not listen to Lloyd's commands but after being beaten up ppodong he started listening to him. He is scared of Ppodong the most.

Frontera County[]

Javier Asrahan[]

Lloyd wooden sword

"As if an orphan son of a b**ch like you can become a knight!"

Prior to the arrival of Suho Kim, Lloyd and Javier had an extremely tense relationship due to the noble's terrible personality and frequent misdemeanors. Lloyd was exceedingly rude towards Javier ever since the two were children and made a particular point of ostracizing him due to his status as an orphan. Javier seems to believe that one of the greatest turning points in their relationship was when Lloyd broke the wooden sword gifted to him by Arcos Frontera when they were children, ridiculing his desire to become a knight. It is worth noting that Lloyd was seen carrying a similar wooden sword while doing so.

Javier silently carried this resentment with him until adulthood. He did not appear to make any attempts to retaliate against this treatment and dutifully served under Lloyd as a knight, verbally denying that he bore any hatred towards the noble despite his distaste showing clearly on his face. While Javier did not at all care for Lloyd on a personal level, he did care for his parents, the Fronteras, and only looked after him in order to fulfill orders from Arcos.

Following the arrival of Suho Kim and Lloyd's subsequent shift in behavior, Javier remained suspicious and mistrusting of Lloyd, though was eventually able to look past his prior experiences to acknowledge the positive changes he was making to himself and to the land. Due to his prior knowledge acquired from Knight of Blood and Iron, Suho placed a substantial amount of trust in Javier soon after they met and was often able to make use of his loyal, righteous nature to his advantage, furthering his suspicion that Lloyd was no longer the same person and eventually earning his trust through continuous successful projects.

The two have since developed an extremely strong bond, though they banter much more frequently than they are verbally kind with each other. Javier still has qualms with certain aspects of his personality, namely his obsession with money and greed, though cannot argue with the results of his positive change and often wonders if it is really so bad to be fueled by money in the first place.

Townsfolk[]

Due to his destructive behavior, Lloyd was detested by the people of the town. They were reluctant to speak with him and often went out of their way to avoid or prevent others from meeting his line of sight. While their distaste of him was not subtle, they did not openly retaliate towards them and displayed begrudging respect due to his nobility. When he first began his construction of ondol flooring, they did not trust him in the slightest, though were both curious and meek enough to be coerced into placing orders.

Over time, the villagers' distrust of Lloyd began to fade and give way to respect. They recognized him as the one who greatly improved their living conditions and quality of life, replacing his previous hooligan imagery as a devoted, trustworthy man that works hard for the sake of others. They embrace the flaws in his personality and seem to enjoy them as something that makes him unique, understanding that he cares deeply for the town in spite of his eccentric behavior at times.

Lloyd does not typically take well to this sort of praise, as he has little to no experience with receiving compliments. He often shouts back at adoring crowds to knock it off and go back to work, using the harsh words to cover up his embarrassment. When placed in front of a grateful crowd in the city of Cremo, he used the opportunity to advertise his business instead of offering any sort of real speech. Despite all of this, he does pay close attention to the welfare of civilians and has been seen directly motivated by the desire to help them live happily.

Allies[]

Alicia Termina Magentano[]

The queen regnant of the Magentano kingdom. Alicia learns about Lloyd after receiving a letter from Count Cremo, who described Lloyd and Javier's subjugation of the gigatitan. Alica summons the duo to the court, where she tests Lloyd's acumen. Pleased with his judgement and personality, Alicia commissions him to rebuild the bridge. The queen begins to trust Lloyd after he and Javier rescued her Sir Kyle's assassination attempt. As the plot progresses, Alicia favours Lloyd due to his achievements and his initiative to resolve many problems in the kingdom. Aware that Lloyd wants to live a lazy life as a wealthy man, the queen tends to tease him by making him work harder, although she does reward him generously and fulfils his requests, as long as they are related to work.
