Ggoming is a fantastical bird capable of growing to gigantic proportions with the help of red sunflower seeds.

He was the fourth creature ever summoned by Lloyd Frontera, with his first construction project being on the Frontera Estate Terrace Farms.

Appearance

Ggoming is a small, fluffy bird with thin eyes, a small yellow beak, and an X-shaped scar on the left side of his face. He two scraggly black legs with four talons each. The majority of his feathers are white, save for his grey wings, tail, and a small tuft of grey feathers on the top of his head. He also wears a black backpack with a spider design on it that he uses to dispense spider silk.

Species and Mistranslation

Ggoming is officially referred to as a "crow-tit," a nickname for a vinous-throated parrotbill. While he resembles these birds in shape and size, he does not at all resemble them in color, as they mostly possess brown, grey, or orange feathers. He much more closely resembles a シマエナガ (shima-enaga), a subspecies of long-tailed tit native to Hokkaido, Japan.

This is likely due to a mix of of colloquial terms, mistranslation, and pop culture contributing to a widespread misunderstanding of what the term 뱁새 (baepsae) most accurately refers to. The term is most often translated as "Korean Crow Tit", which is not an officially recognized species and is often associated with small, round white birds that do not actually belong to the crow-tit family. While the true origin of this misconception cannot be placed, much of its magnitude can likely be attributed to a Korean proverb stating "if a crow-tit walks like a stork, it will tear its legs" (뱁새가 황새 따라가면 가랑이 찢어진다) and a song by BTS based on this proverb (뱁새, Silver Spoon).

Personality

Unlike the other summoned creatures, Ggoming is lazy, apathetic, and disrespectful. He cares little for things like duty and virtue, questioning their worth and lacking a purpose for his own existence. He prefers to laze around and leave responsibility to others instead of personally doing any work. Despite this, he is not entirely set in his ways and was able to be briefly motivated by a speech from Ppodong before returning to his negative attitude merely a day afterwards.

Other than this, Ggoming has only shown to be motivated by fear and threat of violence. He was successfully forced into construction work after being physically bullied by Ppodong and continues to follow his orders as a proxy of Lloyd rather than directly following orders from Lloyd himself. Similarly, he agreed to fly Javier Asrahan on his back after being violently grabbed off of the branch he was resting on.

Despite being his servant, Ggoming has little respect for Lloyd and does not follow his orders. He does not see the value in work and expects for Lloyd to feed and care for him regardless of what he does, relying purely on his goodwill and sense of responsibility as the one who summoned him. Unlike other summons, such as Hamang, he does not appear to be grateful for being summoned and instead sees it as an annoyance to be brought into the world purely to work. Lloyd, in return, is often frustrated with Ggoming despite acknowledging the value of his spider silk.

Ppodong

Immediately after being summoned, Ggoming was already uninterested in the prospect of work, leading Ppodong to step in and attempt to change his mind. He gave a short speech about the value of work and providing service to those around him, promoting both due rewards and personal satisfaction in return for his efforts. Ggoming, intrigued by these prospects, agreed to at least give it a try before inevitably returning to his ways shortly thereafter.

Seeing this, Ppodong made another effort to encourage him into doing just a little more work, to which the bird spat out the stick he was chewing on and hit the hamster directly in the head. Momentarily shocked, Ppodong turned around and calmly requested that Lloyd give him a red sunflower seed, taking advantage of his size to ruthlessly harass and chew on Ggoming until he was thoroughly terrified and willing to follow orders. This fear persists as his sole motivation to continue assisting in construction.

Ggoming's backpack

• Spider Silk: Ggoming's main ability is his ability to produce spider silk through his backpack. These threads are considerably larger than the ones produced by real spiders, though maintains the same tensile strength relative to their size and are extremely durable.
• Size Manipulation: With the help of sunflower seeds obtained through the System, Ggoming can grow to over 30 feet in size. Eating a red sunflower seed will make him grow, with the transformation lasting for a maximum of 12 hours, while eating a blue sunflower seed will reduce him back to his normal small size before this time is up.
• Nest Building & Poop Bombs: These have been mentioned as subskills, but have not been shown in use.
