The Ending Spoiler is an ability that allows the user to take a brief glimpse into the ending of their current path.

It was granted to Lloyd Frontera after satisfying a "hidden condition" with his collective past accomplishments and achievements. It was specifically unlocked after saving the life of Empress Alicia Termina Magentano.

Usage[]

At midnight on the night of a full moon, a certain amount of Compliment Points (CP) will be rewarded based on the user's titles. The user can then choose to spend CP in order to defy the laws of physics and attain absolute power to summon the "Ending Spoiler."

Upon use, the user will be transported to the general vicinity of their demise, a brief duration before they actually pass away. They will not be able to interact with the world, though are free to walk around and observe. The user will be transported back to their original state after a set duration outside of their control.

Shown Uses[]

First Ending Spoiler[]

After unlocking this skill for the first time, Lloyd Frontera excitedly puts it to use, expecting a cushy life of wealth and fortune. He is instead transported to the land of the Frontera Estate, where its trees and infrastructure have been severely damaged by what appear to be bite marks. The ground is littered with numerous half-eaten bodies bearing the same injuries.

Dashing through the town, Lloyd shouts for anyone to answer him, even directly addressing the System's message box to no avail. He eventually finds the bodies of the deceased baron and baroness, where Javier Asrahan is seen standing behind Lloyd's future self while kneeling before his parents. He is devastated to the point of tears and harbors a clear, deep regret for not being able to arrive sooner, apologizing for not being able to protect anyone amidst his sobs. The current Lloyd, shouts angrily at the sky before noticing a horde of locusts flying towards the estate.

Enraged, Javier steps forward and makes several swings at the horde. He is able to briefly disrupt the bugs, though they quickly recongregate and overwhelm him with sheer numbers and blind hunger. The ending spoiler is abruptly brought to an end, leaving the current Lloyd panting and sweating as he processes what he has just seen. He asks the message box if what he just saw was really the truth, to which the box responds that it is up to him to take the risk of believing or ignoring what he saw. Lloyd quickly springs into action and dashes away to take preventative measures.

Second Ending Spoiler[]

Lloyd uses the Ending Spoiler for the second time following the successful construction of the Honeypot Apartments, sensing that things are going suspiciously well and wanting to make sure that he is not overlooking anything important. He is transported to his bedroom at the Frontera Estate, where his future self is bedridden as Javier channels an absurd amount of mana into his body. Questioning why he is taking such extreme, dangerous action, Lloyd walks closer to see that Javier is both sweating from the effort and crying from desperation.

Sallow and frail, Lloyd's future self weakly orders Javier to cease his efforts as they both know he cannot be saved, asking that he live on and burn "it" afterwards. He reluctantly agrees to stop and silently hangs his head while holding the noble's hand. With his last breaths, Lloyd attempts to confess that he is not actually the son of Arcos Frontera, to which Javier speaks over his words and assures that he will describe him to the world as a hero who protected his second hometown and saved numerous refugees. Lloyd breathes his last breath shortly after. His summons, who were standing beside his pillow, are seen crying before disappearing in a flash of light.

Instead of panicking, the current Lloyd remains calm and attempts to observe as much as he can. He takes note of Javier's mostly unchanged appearance, credits his body's skinny physique to dehydration, and follows Javier outside to find that it happens in spring. Javier carries his body to a courtyard full of numerous others before spreading oil and burning the corpses. He recalls Lloyd's final words and follows through by saying to "remember Vienna" (빈, bin)[1] before the spoiler ends.

Returning to his current world, Lloyd questions what kind of knowledge he has about illnesses before figuring out what his prior self had meant. He realizes that he was specifically referring to Vienna, Austria, a city that once experienced a large influx of population similar to the Frontera County and subsequently suffered from Cholera due to the sudden freezing of the Danube river.[2]
