Bangul is a fantastical snake capable of growing to gigantic proportions and processing dirt into either steel or volcanic ash.
She was the second creature ever summoned by Lloyd Frontera, with her first construction project being on the Black Coal Mine.
Appearance[]
Bangul is a small snake with smooth skin and a scaly white underbelly. She has large, shining eyes shaped like rounded triangles and two small eyebrows that are represented with a single line each. Her mouth is shaped like a ㅅ and appears to only have a single white fang. She also has the same rosy blush on both of her cheeks that is present among all other summons.
She wears a ribbon on the top of her head and the end of her tail, with the latter securing a single golden bell that jingles when she moves. These ribbons grow and shrink along with her when under the effect of red or blue sunflower seeds.
In the Webtoon, Bangul is pink, has red/orange eyes each with a single eyelash each, and wears ribbons closer to a dusty pink or pale orange with the bow on her head being much larger than the one on her tail. In the novel, she is yellow, has black/brown eyes with no eyelashes, and wears pink ribbons each of a similar size.
Personality[]
Bangul is typically very cheerful and energetic, able to easily befriend those around her and rarely showing any sort of negative attitude. She is happy to take part in construction projects and works diligently without complaint. She is proud of the work she does and enjoys being praised, happily displaying her skills to entertain the children who came to see her during the Black Coal Mine's construction.
She is loyal to her allies and cares deeply for her friends, showing great concern for Lloyd whenever he is unwell and getting angry on behalf of Hamang after his abilities were put into doubt. She holds a strong sense of personal duty and has not hesitated to leap into danger in order to save civilians.

Bangul is loyal to her master, Lloyd, and is often seen sitting on his shoulder. He is grateful for her work and she is affectionate to him in return, staying by his side in times of danger and always following his orders without hesitation. She has been shown worrying for his wellbeing whenever he is sick or exhausted.
Alongside Ppodong and Hamang, she considers him as more of a true friend and family member rather than as her boss. She is not afraid of him and has voiced her opposition when needed, such as anger towards his disrespect of Hamang.
Bibeong[]
From the moment that he first saw her, Bibeong became infatuated with Bangul. He was convinced into a contract with Lloyd solely due to her encouragement and continues to find motivation from her company during construction projects. Despite this, Bangul does not return his romantic feelings and only sees him as a friend or ally.
Skills[]
- Size Manipulation: With the help of sunflower seeds obtained through the System, Bangul can grow to over 30 feet in size. Eating a red sunflower seed will make her grow, with the transformation lasting for a maximum of 12 hours, while eating a blue sunflower seed will reduce her back to her normal small size before this time is up.
- Chomping Dirt, Accelerated Digestion, & Steel Dung: Bangul is able to easily eat large quantities of dirt and quickly process it through her digestive system in order to create steel dung, which she can expel at high velocities.
- Volcanic Ash: In a similar fashion to creating steel dung, Bangul can create a large explosion from her tail that releases a plume of volcanic ash.
- Swimming: Despite her lack of arms, Bangul has shown herself to be capable of swimming at high speeds.

- The characters in Bangul's name, 방울, translate to 'bell'.
- Between the novel and Webtoon, Bangul and Hamang seem to have swapped their colors of pink and yellow, respectively.
